As well as that, the 3D MarmoPanel natural stone panels also excel when it comes to acoustic performance. They are real natural stone panels, neither prints nor fakes, and are simply long-lasting natural stone that can even be used for flooring with dimensions of 1200 mm x 3000 mm.

Larger, lighter, thinner

The UltraThin XXL natural stone panels have been developed by Stone Consulting, based in Oostkamp in Belgium. This specialist firm has more than 30 years' experience and operates in Asia, China, India, Vietnam, North Africa, Tunisia and Morocco. Each year new products and finishes are developed in various factories (see the many e-brochures at www.stoneconsulting.eu).
Marmocino (natural stone and terrazzo on a ceramic base) is behind this innovation. Five years of research and development has resulted in the MarmoPanel, followed by the UltraThin XXL panels (real marble, not fake). This is the answer to copies made of the ceramic XXL formats. These 1200 x 3000 mm panels are applied to a nanotechnology support and 3D glass fibre using a special adhesive. The thickness of the UltraThin panels: from 1 mm to 3 mm and for the 3D MarmoPanel panels: from 8 mm to 100 mm.

Easier installation

XXL ceramic tiles require special care when being installed. Frequent problems include breakages and weight, apart from the repetitive, identical prints.

The UltraThin XXL natural stone panels offer a great advantage in that they are exceptionally flexible and made from real stone. They can be more easily manipulated with the chance of breakage being kept to a minimum. It makes the tradesman's work lighter and easier at a stroke. Of course this is relevant whenever labour, budget and planning together have to be reckoned with. In addition the 3D MarmoPanels provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Because a special adhesive is used, the panels are fully fire resistant. They also provide an innovative solution for alteration work where thickness is important. They are also a suitable replacement for the natural stone support on an aluminium honeycomb panel thanks to the weight and flexibility when installing.
