Fair Natural Stone Round Table: "Speak the same language!"
 

“Indian children's hands chop Flemish cobblestones.” With this undercover reportage from De Standaard, the natural stone sector in our country was put on fire in 2015. The sight of the reconstruction of Ghent's inner city would never be the same for ships Filip Watteeuw. Even though some Belgian and Dutch natural stone importers were already members of initiatives that denounced the human abuses in the production countries, the report turned out to be a starting point for the sector to no longer watch passively.

IMVO Initiative TruStone saw the light of day in 2019 after frequent consultations and wants to encourage governments and local authorities, companies, NGOs, trade unions, prescribers and consumers to join forces, expose the chain and take responsibility for better working and living conditions.
